Skipsea Beach

The narrow sandy beach at Skipsea lies between Hornsea and Bridlington. The effects of coastal erosion are prevalent in this area of the Yorkshire Coast.

You can see large sections of the cliffs have been cut away and crumbled before being washed away by the sea. Accessing the shoreline can be difficult, so this is typically a quieter beach and is excellent for birdwatching and fishing.
