Guidance for Cyclists
As you would expect the guidelines for cyclists is the same as for walkers.
Here's a few additional things to take into consideration when cycling the Route YC.
Cyclists must give way to walkers and horse riders on bridleways. As a general rule it's good to be nice, say hello and share the space kindly.
Leave gates and property as you find them or follow instructions on signs. When riding in a group, make sure the last person knows how to leave the gates.
Follow signs and keep to marked paths -- get to know the signs and symbols and what they mean.
Check your route and the weather conditions, and make sure you have the appropriate kit.
If in doubt, a great source for helpful info and safety advice is Sustrans, who are all about keeping you safe when out on two wheels.
