Set within the grounds of Patrington Haven, you can have a superb lunch or dinner and stretch your legs with your four-legged friend around the fishing lake and grounds.

The Ship Inn has envious cliff-top views across the Yorkshire Coastline, with a snug and cosy interior and a beer garden that dogs could only dream of.

CharLouccio's, at The Ship Inn, adds to the locally inspired menu with two outdoor wood-fired ovens offering fresh pizzas and selected specials; once they're gone... they're gone!!

Tips to keep you safe

Save a link to a tide times website or download an App in advance to ensure you don't get caught out by the tide if you are exploring the Yorkshire Coast beaches.

Everyone knows how unpleasant dog mess is, but did you know it can harm other animals? Be a responsible dog owner - bag, take, and bin it.
If you are exploring the rural Yorkshire Coast, keep your dog on a short lead around farm animals. You should only release your dog if cattle threaten or chase you.
Never get between cows and calves; walk around the herd and re-join the path when safe.
If cattle follow you, stay calm and walk quickly and quietly around the herd.
If you are walking around lakes, beware that some lakes can have steep banks, and your four-legged friend may find it challenging to get out or get caught on something below the surface that you can't see from the water's edge. There are great places like North Yorkshire Waterpark that have great walks and lakes perfect for going with the dog, but there are also signed areas to keep dogs on leads so they don't disturb the local habitat.
