Hunmanby Gap is a large expanse of sandy beach that is perfect if you are looking for a quieter beach to visit on Filey YC.

You can reach Hunmanby Gap on foot from Filey (check the tide times) or after a short drive if you have visited the nearby village of Hunmanby.

This unspoiled beach is perfect during the summer for a lazy-day beach picnic and a great place to take the dog as this is an all-year-round dog-friendly beach.

When walking along Hunmany Gap, you will see a few intact pillboxes from World War II on the beach in the direction of Filey.

The beach is lined with cliffs, with a good collection of stones and pebbles and, like many places on the Yorkshire Coast, is an excellent place for Fossil hunting.

At Hunmanby Gap itself, you will find a car park at the top, open from March to October, and a small cafe is located partway down the bank to the beach.
