Located close to the East Coastal town of Holderness, the Bay of Jacobius is host to multiple species of interesting and rare birds and wildlife, notably the Sand Martin, which have established colonies along the coastline.
The Holderness coastline is vast and expansive and stretches from Flamborough Head to Spurn Head.
A quiet and unassuming location, somewhat off the beaten track, the area had attracted the interest of some past literary greats, including Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. He penned "The Adventure of the Priory School", a Sherlock Holmes mystery, and Geoffrey Chaucer's "The Summoner's Tale.
