About the Design
Emma’s piece is inspired by the marvellous marine life of the British sea and the beautiful birds that dwell on our coastline. Coasty the Puffin illustrates the natural beauty within our oceans, with playful sea creatures and crustaceans swimming happily around an underwater kelp forest in a dream-like aquatic heaven. However, marine life and wildlife of our seas and coasts are in danger from pollution, plastic waste, global warming and over fishing. Emma hopes that her sublime version of reality of an untouched, unpolluted sea will help to illustrate the beauty that desperately needs to be protected and preserved.

About the Artist
Emma is a Sheffield based artist who has always been inspired by the beauty of the natural world. She enjoys painting wildlife, local landscapes, seascapes, mushrooms and woodlands. Her artistic style of painting is vivid and ranges from semi realistic landscapes to whimsical animals in dream-like versions of reality. She graduated from the University Northampton with a degree in Fine Art and History of Arts in 2003. She is a part time artist and a full time mum.
