Holbeck Gardens

Esplanade, Scarborough

Holbeck Gardens dates back to the late 1800s and is home to only three shelters in the South Cliff Gardens which have survived from the Victorian period. The Holbeck Clock Tower was gifted to the town to commemorate the coronation of King George V in 1911.

The gardens themselves have changed quite significantly since they were first laid out, largely due to the well-documented landslip of the Holbeck Hall in 1993.
