Scarborough Mere

You will find a natural lake at the foot of Oliver's Mount called Scarborough Mere.

In the 20th century, the Mere was a popular tourist attraction, with rowing boats, putting green, and a miniature Spanish galleon – the Hispaniola – which made trips across to 'Treasure Island.

Now the Mere is a much more relaxed, back to nature, where you will see anglers and walkers.

There is a walk around the Mere you can follow, or take a break and sit and enjoy the wildlife before continuing the next leg of your Scarborough YC experience.

We have:

  • Cafe on Site

  • Car park
