The Southcliff Gardens is the name for the beautiful and unique set of gardens accessed from the Seafront and the Esplanade.
You can explore the garden collection, which includes the Spa Gardens, Italian Gardens, Prince of Wales Gardens, the Rose Garden, Holbeck Gardens, and the Shuttleworth Gardens.
The gardens are twisting trails that descend a significant slope from the Esplanade to the Seafront, embowed with trees, shrubs, and unique structures. Unfortunately, some, like the Gothic Saloon, are no longer visible.
On this land, the Clock Tower Café was built during the 1914-18 war.
This structure and the 22 beach chalets in front of it have recently become listed buildings at grade 2.
