Star Gansey Puffin Sculpture

Hornsea Inshore Rescue Café, South Promenade, Hornsea

About the Design
This Puffin represents the rich history of the region’s fishing industry. A gansey was a hand knitted jumper, often made by wives or other family members, worn by fishermen. Each area of the country had its own design. The Humber area gansey was called the Humber Star.
